Most of the Australian roses bred by Alister Clarke are extremely good
doers - particularly in Australian climatic conditions (drought and heat
tolerant - less suceptable to black stop etc). I currently grow about 10
of his roses and none seem to get mildrew. I grew Lorraine Lee in my
previous garden - it was an old plant that had been used and abused by
previous owners - in a very dry reasonably sunny spot close to gum trees
- it never got mildew (sorry!!).
What type of environmental conditions is your rose in (soil, sun,
humidity etc)?
