Hi Folks -
Last night, I placed a new page on the Medit-Plants web site
for Lavender:
http://www.support.net/Medit-Plants/plants/lavandula.html
Currently, it primarily contains a list of species/cultivars
which are know to me (taxonomically if not personally). I
was searching through the Medit-Plants archives for posts
which gave specific information about some of these plants
but found surprizingly few! Lavenders are one of the
maistays of many gardens in mediterranean climates, so
featuring specific information about the many, confusing
forms seems to be a useful exercise. If any of you out
there have something to say about a know species or cultivar,
please forward your personal impressions to me (and or the
group as well) and I will be happy to add then (author
duly noted) to the web page. There seems to be little
comprehensive information about the genus Lavandula on the
web in general, so we are filling a void in cyberspace!
BTW - I also recently added a few more cultivars to the
Rosmarinus officinalis page:
http://www.support.net/Medit-Plants/plants/rosmarinus.officinalis.html
If you also have something to say about that genus, feel free
to add them into the discussion!
Thanks in advance!
