Re: Arundo donax 'Variegata'

-----------------X-Post from Rod Randall W.A.------------------------

A big grin formed on my face when I read someone "wanted" to grow
this??? Sorry, its just that anyone who plants Arundo in their
backyard here very quickly regrets the decision. Very very invasive,
there are thickets of the stuff along the Swan river here and they
are just inpenetrable.

The same thing happens in your garden, you end up loosing half your
yard to an Arundo thicket. Mind if the person is living in a much
cooler environment (ie non-Medit) then it will probably be more
controllable.

I've still not sorted my tech problems with IT here David
could forward this to Medit Plants if you only get the one copy?

Thanks, Rod
