Devil's Club is listed as Echinopanax horridum in my 20-year-old copy of Eric
Hulten's Flora of Alaska, although Oplopanax horridus is listed as a synonym.
However, a Devil's Club by any other name... By the way, I think there are
more than enough nasty plants that will grow perfectly well here in Stockton
without us having to look into a selective breeding program!
