RE: Weird weather

Someone said that kangaroo paw turns to something liked boiled lettuce in a
hard freeze. To me, it looks much more like plain black slime. ;-) Hopefully
it will return from the roots. I wanted to say thanks for all the timely
warnings. But for the kangaroo paw we got everything tucked under cover and
thank goodness because it was *cold* here in Hollister. I had to wear shoes,
socks and a jacket but can't give a temperature reading other than that. We
were at the Monterey Aquarium yesterday and it SNOWED! Mid-day. I am still
recovering from the shock of it all.
