Hi Barry,
Last spring, there was a thread on the rec.gardens newsgroup about growing
grocery store produce type ginger. I put some into the ground on the south
side of my house, and it's doing nicely. I was planning to keep it in the
ground all winter. It's near a fragrant flowering ginger that has been in the
ground for three years. (I will have to ask around to find out its name.)
Many gingers do very well here. What kind do you have?
