Re: SS. dulcamara and seaforthianum
My thanks to Moira, Jenifer, Julie, Tim and Einion:
Everyone who responded to my questions about Solanums dulcamara and
seafortheanum.
I have planted (between the rains) the S. seafortheanum to mingle with the
golden hops (Humulus lupus 'Aurea') and hope for the best.
The S. dulcamara will go to a dry corner next to the fence because of it's
rhizomateous roots. Thanks to all of you I'm able to plant with a little fore
knowledge. That's what's so wonderful about this great group of gardeners. We
learn from each other, more than what's in the books.
What about beautiful Solanum crispum? I've seen it in England and in nothern
California, but never down here in So. Cal. I wonder why?
