Botanica does list the allspice as zones 10-12, which would certainly
mean no frost. The Schotia shows zones 9-12, which would mean a light
cover if real frosts were coming, but probably just fine down your way.
The schotia can supposedly reach 30-50 ft. and is wide-spreading, very
wide in the photo in the book. No pretty pic for the allspice, but is
listed as reaching 40 ft.! Also, the pimento is evergreen, whereas the
Schotia will lose its leaves.
