Linda-
The website with the afternoon shade recommendation was
probably Desert Tropicals - they're in Arizona desert. But the plant's from
western Australia, so will probably do fine in full sun in most not-full-desert
places.

Subject: Alyogyne huegelii
I have always admired the flowers of the shrub Alyogyne huegelii in a neighbors yard and I finally found a spot for one in front of my newly built garden cottage. Can anyone tell me any particular do's and don'ts about this plant? One website said some shade in the afternoon so I have planted it on the south side of my cottage in a raised rock planter bed which will receive afternoon shade in summer.
Thanks.
