Hello all
Linda, as an indigenous shrub here in Western Australia, I would just add
that Alyogyne huegelii appreciates excellent drainage and a non humid
environment. In my garden it is in full sun, 42C is common in summer, and has
no problem with light frost. Alyogyne hakeifolia is also lovely and has needle-
like leaves and either mauve or pale yellow blooms of similar size as
A.huegelii.

When I looked up this species from the Mllow/hibiscus family in the Australian wildflower catalogue. I found a couple of extra bits of information.

Under "Shade" it said "none to filtered".
Under "Cultivation" it said "Prune back hard after flowering to keep a compact shape"
