RE: Alyogyne huegelii

Carol thanks for the site.  Mine does look a little sparse in the foliage - but what can you expect from potted plants wanting room to grow.  I will try pruning a bit after it finishes blooming and gets over its transplant shock.  Last summer we had 100 F for three months straight so even my toughest plants suffered.  Morning sun here is intense enough to make up for little afternoon sun and since I live at 1000 ft elevation I planted it facing south in case of occasional frost - which we had the last three nights - 27F and more the next couple of nights.  The leaves seem fine though.

Bill -  mine is a purple/blue color which I love - I have never seen the white form.  Recently I have been using more white flowers in the landscape, though.  In fact I planted three westringia last year for the first time in my front yard and they are blooming now with tiny white flowers and I just love them.  Seems like I tend to pick A! ustralian plants - must be because they are tough enough to last through summer here.

Thanks again.

Linda
