If the fireweed suddenly appeared in your pots, do you know where it

Either in the air or with composted manure i use in my container
mix. Not from the nursery. I haven't seen it in the neighborhood,
but it could be in someone's backyard.
Whether fireweed becomes a nuisance depends upon your conditions. I
have one fireweed which has been growing near a viburnum for ten
years or more, and has not increased or seeded.
This sounds very promising! If it has never seeded, do you mean it
doesn't flower? Or doesn't set seed? Or the seeds just don't come up
elsewhere in the garden?
I suggest removing the fireweed from the shrubs and planting some of
it in a place where you can monitor it to see how it likes your garden.
I'm just wondering if it's the sort of thing I could never get rid
of, if I found that it wasn't good in the garden. Maybe I'll try it
in some sort of 'managed' space, like a bottomless container, or in
the parking strip... Other ideas?
