If any of you Medit-Plants folks are awake out there, help! How would you like to write
an article for The American Cottage Gardener? We can now pay a munificent sum of
$25 per printed page, on publication. We consider ourselves a showcase for
passionate gardeners who are frustrated with the intellectual and thematic
restrictions of the mainstream gardening press, and who want to let other gardeners
know about a particular genus, plant, gardening lore, or slice of gardening history.
You could even write about your garden at home; we are always interested in showing
our readers how other people in other parts of the country live with plants. We buy
only First North American Serial Rights, which revert to you after the piece sees
print, so you can market the piece again if you want.
If you9re at all interested in this proposition, email me and let me know what you9d like
to write about. Needless to say, my co-editor Nancy McDonald and I will work with you
if you9re a bit shy about your writing skills.
