Hello.
I can only speak for myself, but poor horticultural availability has
been an issue. Plant locator literature devoted to the subject has been
consistently disappointing.
I would also consider California plants to be Mediterranean, and in my
experience with them, like plants of Mediterranean Eurasia, surprising
results have often been obtained considering my own locality in
Washington state. Additionally, considering my experiences last year,
many of their xeriscapic values cannot be overestimated.
