Hi,
I am curious about this: do most subscribers to this list consider
California native plants mediterranean? Obviously by definition they are,
and the lack of mention of these plants by members of this group is
puzzling to me. Is it that they are considered passe, or too common, or
is that the grass is always greener elsewhere, or is it that people really
don't know that much about them, or that horticultural availability is
poor, or what?
Other than Barry Garcia, I believe I have never heard anyone mention them
at all.
I am curious to know what people think of our 4000+ native and non-native
California plants...
