This has not happened to me, but I know several commercial growers who have
lost a great deal to marauding boars. Those animals are dangerous, and
nothing to fool with. They seem to have skin of Sherman tank armor, and can
knock down fences, tree branches, and whole saplings. They can rip dogs to
pieces. In my area, their populations have been growing because they have no
natural enemies. Last year someone in San Benito County was hospitalized
after being gored by a wild boar that was roaming on his property.
Have you considered calling in some local experts, or planting a roof garden?
