TO: Greg I assume you sent this to me because you were
guessing that it was a bromeliad. Actually, I think it is a
Sanseviera. A similar plant is in Exotica p 1107 and is called S.
'Silver Hahnii'. It also looks like S. subspicata on the same page.
I suspect you are not ignoring this plant enough. I believe
it should be kept potbound and watered on a less frequent basis. It
is a "tough little bugger" but I suspect you are trying to be too
nice to it. Put it in a small deep pot and water it rarely.
I suspect you will get more reactions because I'm copying
this to the Mediterranean plant list and there should be some great
experts out there!!
