This time my Australian wilflower catalogue has delivered the goods!
Although you got your plant from Tassie, it is native to NSW growing on
sandstone around Sydney.
It likes a very well-drained soil in a partly-shaded position. Some
protection for the root system should be provided. It is frost-tolerent.
As to size they say a rounded shrub to around 1.5 metres. They also say
tip prune to encourage compact growth.
Under Landscape Use "A pretty profusely flowering shrub for garden or
container". - Sounds very desirable.
