Bermuda Grass

Why would anyone grow lawns/grass in California? As a recovering lawn
mower/grower (still on the wagon after 30 years), I simply do not understand
the need for lawns in most private homes. Not only the water problem but the
need for machines, blowers, chemical fertilizers, edgers, re-seeding,
etc.etc.
If you don't have lawns you don't have Bermuda grass. I tried to find
Bermuda grass in Bermuda and could not. Bill Grant, central coast California
