Re: Eriostemon buxifolius (Philotheca)- Wax bush

Many thanks both Moira and Eionion for confirming approximate sizes
for this. Ugh! Taxonimists have been trying to justify themselves
again I see. I don't know why Eriostemon should be easier to remember
than Philotheca, but for me it is.

Quite right Moira, it is a highly desirable small shrub and I'm
delighted to have it. The first starry flowers opened with yesterdays
warm sunshine and their waxy white-ness is a pleasing contrast to the
pink buds. I'm really looking forward to this growing larger and can
see that it should make an excellent garden plant. I'm on sharply
(aggressively so) drained, acid mud stone overlying lime giving a ph
of between 5.7 and 6.2 so, coupled with plenty of sunshine, lots of
water and only a few very light frosts if any, it should be very
happy here.
