Moira I was interested in your experience with this pest and
the blowtorch. I dug some up recently and put the plants on
some newspaper in the garden meaning to put them out in the
rubbish. Things being what they are in my garden I didn't get
round to it and we had 10 days of searing heat. In Adelaide
that means 38C+ up to 40C. The wretched things still look as
fresh and green as if they have just been dug up. Other really
hardy Med. plants like Echium have almost given up the ghost.
