Hi Nan
The tag on my Katy apricot says it needs about 250
chill hours. We planted it bareroot four years ago,
and we've gotten apricots off it, only a few at first
but more every year.
The "orchard" side of our ridge is more like Sunset
zone 23 than 21. We're finally getting some chill
hours the last couple of weeks! It's been very mild
at night this winter.
