I find with most delphinium seed that they should be chilled for a couple of
weeks before sowing. Fresh seed will germinate without chilling. It is best to
sow delph seed under cooler fall conditions.
I have germinated several hyb with cardinale parentage, so I guess D.
cardinale requires the same conditions. I have tried the "Beverly Hills"
series with red, pink, and salmon colors but I have had little luck in getting
them to bloom.
