In the past, Sean has indicated that he's pretty flexible regarding topics
on the list. I'm not on any other gardening lists, so personally, the
variation in topics doesn't bother me. Seems to me that the list members
are generally good at staying on or close to topics related to growing
plants in mediterranean-type climates (South Africa, Chile, California,
etc.) or growing plants from mediterranean-type climates, so the occasional
digression is merely entertaining. The list doesn't generate that many
messages per day to make digressions that bothersome, and I always learn
something from them.
Perhaps Sean can just add a note to the material we receive when we join
the list, explaining his view of what he expects with the list. I'd just
like to put in a vote for tolerance.
