Nivenia

Peter Goldblatts book on the Woody Iridaceae is beautifully
inscribed with many color plates picturing these unique shrubby Irids. The
watercolors are by Fay Anderson a well known South African artist and
gardener. I have a small collection of plants of Nivenia. They have yet
to flower but the plants themselves are very attractive. Fans of narrow,
light green leaves branch off of woody stems. They have been in my shade
house but probably can take more sun. These plants should be grown by more
people.
