With all this discussion about tree dahlias... I'm removing a tree
dahlias from my San Jose, California garden. I planted them as a
temporary screen two years ago--this past year, about eight stalks grew
to about 12 feet tall. Each stalk bloomed about six flowers in
mid-December before the nasty freeze zapped the whole plant. The flowers
are white doubles about 2 inches across, with ten or so skinnier rays
extending an additional inch spaced evenly around the bottom of the
flower.
Apologies for the wide distribution, but if you're in the San Francisco
Bay Area and would be interested in getting some tubers, drop me a line!
I figure there's enough tubers for two or three people.
