Thank you to Rich for mentioning this place. I visited it this weekend
and thoroughly enjoyed it. The garden is wonderful and wild, with sunny
areas and shady areas, footbridges and meandering paths, lots of
interesting plants to look at. There were quite a few plants for sale,
with more to come as the new owners propagate specimens that are growing
in the garden. The owners seem very knowledgeable and helpful.

Is Western Hills Rare Plant Nursery in Occidental close enough? I
understand it was recently sold to a party that intends to keep it as
a nursery, which is what this web site implies.

I was lucky enough to visit Lester and Marshall's nursery while they
were alive, and it took me three days each visit to tour the place.
