Just got back this week from a cruise that visited Barcelona, Nice, Rome, 
Naples, Sicily and your beautiful Mallorca. Mallorca was a major 
highlight of our trip, we loved it!!!

Being a tropical hibiscus lover, I was really surprised at the relatively 
small numbers of plants I saw and the very small number of varieties. At 
Palmanova I saw some relatively unusual varieties at a corner pizzeria. 
Palma had quite a few of one red variety all over town.

Have you thought of the tropical hibiscus as a hedge? Normally there's no 
scent, but some varieties are very good for hedges. I don't think 
mallorca gets below freezing, does it?
