I didn't personally know Gary or his partner either, but their senseless
and wasteful deaths greatly sadden me also.

People who hate, as those murderers did, are usually, I suspect, filled
with a mixture of insecurity and envy which encourages them to latch on
to these extreme positions and destroy their own minds with the poisons
of baseless prejudice.

As to _God  - being prejudiced, no matter how many fundamentalists try
to remake Him in their own image, He is never like that, but respects
and loves and encourages every person who strives to be His friend (so
often shown,as it was with Gary and his friend, by their love and care
for others in their community).
