goophers

Hi:
Is there a way that really works to repel or kill Gophers? I have tried
gas, smoke bombs with no result. I have also tried a sonic mole repeller
but that does not work either.  Since I have installed these things they
are still eating up my bulbs. It seams that they like the sound and
every day there are more of them.
