Re: Salvia patens
Now the colours have been sorted out (thank heavens - I nearly spilt
my tea when I saw that Cambridge Blue was hinted at being 'dark'
<VBG>), it should be readily available from seed. I believe Thompson
& Morgan sell it and I know from past experience that it is one of the
varieties that does seem to give reasonable results. Once you have a
few plants, the fleshy roots can be stored cool in dry peat over
winter and potted in early spring. Cuttings taken from the young
shoots make very acceptable plants by midsummer.
