So is it unethical to run one's washing machine in the summer, also <8) ?? Something like maize is probably impossible under such a regimen I guess? -----Original Message----- From: owner-medit-plants@ucdavis.edu [o*@ucdavis.edu]On Behalf Of Paul Harrar Sent: Friday, June 02, 2000 9:25 AM To: medit-plants@ucdavis.edu Subject: Salsify Thanks, Richard, Judy and especially Moira for the info and recipes. Great stuff! It's been a dream of mine to cultivate a small kitchen garden of California native edibles and naturalized nonnative edibles, with the thought that many of these plants would fit into my "no summer watering" ethic. The intriguing salsify recipes only spur me more to do this. I'm still interested in any details about how and when salsify got to America. May I can find this info online. Thanks again.
