Re: Salvia discolor/Agave/S. canariensis 'white'

Folks -

To correct my prior posting on this thread - the Agave that was in my mind
when I read Laura's note was, in fact, Agave angustifolia 'Variegata'.
This beauty is spiny, whereas A. attenuata, is not. Clearly I've been
wrestling with the fact that my plant shown have been removed before now,
but it is so beautiful to me that I was trying to find an appropriate home
where is might be relocated (even at some trouble). I apologize for my
haste and dyslexia.

As we live next to a public park, whose many visitors often comment about
what is going on in our garden, this A. angustifolia bloom spike is now the
central attraction. Comments can be heard from many passerbys as to the
life history of century plants (or their interpretations/recollections).
Deborah says I should put up an sign to create an educational display about
this 'event' - perhaps I will! Its nothing if not dramatic, and we all
need a bit a drama in our lives, don't we.

Regards,
Sean O.
