I don't know if Stenotaphrum really produces
seeds though it flowers well : I thought it was sterile but I may be wrong. Be
careful not to mistake it for Pennisetum clandestinum (which produces seeds, and
is a real pest), both are unfortunately called "kikuyu" by mistake in
Europe (only Pennisetum clandestinum should be called Kikuyu). Stenotaphrum
makes a good lawn by itself, but you have to give it some water.
