Hi Laurie,

Glad you enjoyed the garden, I was wondering who it
might have been that showed up there on Mother's Day! 
Susan and Jim are some of my favorite clients, and I'm
glad you also felt the warmth and beauty I always feel
when visiting or working in their garden.  I also like
to think of their garden as the sun annex to my own
garden here in Berkeley, as I am in almost total
shade, and can't really grow all the
aloes/succulents/agaves, etc as well as Susan does. 
We both love color in the garden, and just clicked on
the same wave length when it came time to collaborate
on the design.  I wish all my clients were also so
good about keeping the garden going without my help,
as it can be frustrating to see gardens get out of
hand.  If you saw things you liked in the garden, ask
Susan if she has some propagated and available for
sale, as she does sell things to some of the local
nurseries.  Maybe I'll see you there if you arrive
after 3pm, and thanks for the high praise of Susan's
beautiful garden.
