1341 Haskell is a gem! Was: East Bay Garden Conservancy Open Gardens

We accidentally went to the 1341 Haskell Susan's wonderful garden on
Mother's Day! I was in the midst of a massively overworked-daize and
didn't realize that the tour was to be this weekend. James was washing his
car out front and sent us to the backyard to check the tour date with
Susan. Susan was friendly and gracious and encouraged us to stay for a bit,
which was fortunate since I'm not sure I had it in me to turn around and
walk away. You don't get a chance to look closely at this garden before the
color, warmth and playfullness reach out and envelope your spirit. We were
so moved by the suprise and warmth of it that we never could focus on the
unusual and interesting plants in the composition. I'll be back on Sunday
to experience the magic once again and try to understand 'how' this time
around. You will not regret a trip to this garden.
