Re: Embothrium flowers at last!


Whatever the explanation for the long-delayed flowering of Diane's
embothrium, I hardly think lack of sun can be the answer. At least not in
itself. It flowers profusely and spectacularly in gardens in the West of
Scotland and the North of Wales, for instance, neither of which are areas
renowned for their high levels of light or sun. In the UK, woodland shade,
slightly acid soil, and moist humdity seem to be the conditions it most
relishes.
