A friend has a pomegranate tree that has been in the ground for two years - this year and last, the fruits formed and fell off when they were juvenile. It is a big plant - started off as a 15 gallon and is now about 6' tall.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Nan
I wondered if trees might take a while to settle down to fruiting, but can find no mention of this. On the other hand though the trees will stand quite cool winter conditions hot dry summers are described as essential for successful ripening and I wonder where your friend is growing hers.

Incidently if not pruned down the tree might reach as much as 15 feet high in a year or two, but can be pruned to the desired height in winter just like an apple tree.
