RE: pomegranates fall off?

I wonder if you friend is watering it enough? I have an old pomegranate (it came with house and I estimated it to be more than 30years) and it only started to produce good fruits when I started to water it during the summer months. Before it would loose most of its fruits while juvenile. Even now it is still normal that some juvenile fruits will fall down.
Hope this helps
