You've gotten a lot of ideas now, but I thought I'd venture one more.
Probably not on any list, but I once saw a very handsome specimen of
Hymenosporum flavum growing vertically in a very narrow space. I thought it
adapted quite well and the handsome foliage and fragrant flowers were
wonderful in the confined space. This seldom planted tree deserves more
attention.
