Peter - Whenever I've grown oleander from seed I haven't done anything
special - merely a gritty compost at around 65/70F, seeds sown around
now - and seedlings have popped up happily within a few weeks. Potting
on equally straightforward and commonsensical. It's a really tough,
no-nonsense plant. If only it would stand a few more degrees of cold
and be reliably-permanently hardy this far north in the UK... As it
is, every few years a extra cold snap comes along and sees it off - no
doubt helped by the fact that our general wetness and heaviness of
soil isn't to its natural taste.

PS Plants have NEVER set seed here - I've always had to cadge or buy.
