If it has to be woody, evergreen, always good looking and
Medit. two I've used in that situation have been Myrsine africana
and Myrtus communis 'Compacta'. If you can count on staying above 30
all winter than you can add my favorites, several selections of Natal
Plum or most beautiful, Teucrium fruticans 'Azureum'.
