Eucs encroaching on undisturbed natives

Hi All,
I adore Eucalyptus of all kinds, but also recognize
that each species has its place, and for some, that
place might only be its habitat.
I have seen Eucalyptus globulus encroach upon
otherwise undisturbed coastal scrub, in contrast to
the comment below. In some locations (San Bruno
Mountain, near San Francisco), it appears to colonize
slightly more effectively than even Broom. Among the
few big woody weeds that are in the same league there
are Gorse, Cotoneaster, and Cupressus macrocarpa (a
native-to-California weed).
