Re: Crinum and pot size


If you are growing either Crinum moorei or powellii,
I'd recommend a rather large size pot for the mature
plant.  The bulbs on this can get massive, and I'd
suggest a pot of at least 18" diameter by 18" deep.  A
15 gallon size container would also work.  Younger
plants can certainly be grown in smaller sizes and
moved up as it grows.  My plants get 4 foot tall by
across with foliage, but are in the ground.
