Senecio petasites has a new name: Roldana petasitis. In addition to
coverage in the 2001 (7th) edition of the Sunset Western Garden Book (under
Senecio), there is an entry with a line drawing in Selected Plants for
Southern California Gardens, p. 309. There is also coverage on the
Mediterranean Garden Society site (under the new name) at:
