Just this morning I read of a book for garden loving tourists titled, appropriately enough, Bed and Breakfast for Garden Lovers. Its info is also available online at
http://www.specialplacestostay.com/titles/bbgl/
There are listings for all over Britain (and some in France!). They are to drool over.

I am traveling to England and staying at Goddard's (Luyten) in the hamlet of Abinger Common near Guildford, at the end of May. Then we are on our own for another week. So, where to go that is not a tremendous distance, but fascinating and serene? I love the English countryside, am an avid garden enthusiast, and enjoy the out-of-the-way intrigue. We need to figure out where to stay, etc. Open to all suggestions.
Thanks!
