Hi Wayne & Cheryl,
My husband and I had good luck near the Sonora airport, but that was quite
a few years ago. Subdivisions were going in, so it's hard to say what it
will be like now. It was rocky basalt & grassy, with lots of flowers.
Contact the local members of the California Native Plant Society in your
area, I know they might have some good suggestions.
