If it were me, I would choose plain dirt before I would put in an Oxalis!!!

I have engaged in an multi-decade war with Oxalis corniculata, Oxalis pres
capra, and a third Oxalis (that looks real lush and pretty for 3 months
before it goes dormant). . . . and I feel like I am losing on all fronts.

Then there are the nicer, more-modest-growing species that I have tried --
all of which got a nasty orange rust every year shortly after putting out
their leaves. But I can't seem to completely get rid of them either.

The problem I see with most of these Oxalis is that they start out looking
really nice, but then they go dormant, or go to seed and start dying back
and looking ratty, just after they have smothered out all their neighbors.

Just my humble opinion...
