All i can say about the palms you have is general location (if you know
where they are from, never mind!)
L. grandis comes from the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. Its also a rare
plant, so consider yourself lucky :).
L. spinosa comes from: Thailand, peninsular Malaysia, Phillipines, Andaman
Islands, Sumatra, Java, Borneo. This one is not threatened.
Anyways that probably doesnt help you with its minimum winter temps.
I didnt find any info on R. borinquena. In my schools library, they used
to have a book that had all the species of known palms (at the time of
printing) that showed many pictures and gave info on the growing
requirements of each species. I believe the book is called:
Palms Throughout the World
by David L. Jones, John Dransfield
You can buy it at www.amazon.com. It lists 800 species of palms, so im
sure yours should be in there!
Sorry i couldnt be of much help! BTW: are you putting these trees outside
in the UK? :)
