Gardens in Turkey?

	A friend of mine will be visiting and travelling in Turkey from
May 14 to June 6.  She has asked me to ask people on Medit-L
for any suggestions on botanic gardens she might visit. 
	The first part of her trip will be a guided tour (so there won't
be too much flexibility) in a rough triangle from Istanbul to Ankara
and ending at Izmir on the Agean Sea. 
	She will have more flexiblity after that, and will be staying with
friends at their home in Mersin, on the Mediterranean, not far from
the Syrian border.( They hope to be exploring a lot between Izmir
and Mersin.)
	I am most grateful to any of you who have suggestions. If you
